Vegan Household Products

At times it seems incredible just how invidious (is that a word, or did I just make it up?) abuse of animals is in this society. Why would anyone want to put animal products in laundry and cleaning products? Luckily there are easily available substitutes. Bio-D is widely available from large supermarkets and carries the Vegan sunflower trademark, so you know you are on safe ground. You can also buy it in Healthy Life in Devizes and the Oxfam shop. Unfortunately Ecover has lost the right to carry the Vegan Society sunflower trademark thanks to its refusal to desist from experimenting on water fleas and using rabbits blood in its testing. You have to ask yourself why! Does the lure of easy profit lead to moral corruption and turpitude? Hmm maybe the subject of a different essay. There are also products that do away with all gloopy gunk and just use cutting edge technology- such as e-cloths which can be used for wiping surfaces without the need for any cleaning products. Available from mail order company Honesty or the Cook Shop in Devizes. There's also good old time stuff like using wet newspaper to clean windows and mirrors, and a solution of bicarbonate of soda to clean fridges. If you know any of these gems of wisdom, share them with wiltshire, we need to know!
